Q: The video isn't playing for me. What's wrong?
A: Here are a few things to try to get it working:
  • Refresh the page. On a PC, press F5 or Ctrl-R. On a Mac, press Cmd-R
  • Try pressing play, then hitting pause and letting the video buffer for a few minutes. The gray bar should slowly advance, which shows how much of the video has loaded. After it has advanced a bit, try pressing play again.
  • Close all other programs that may be running.
  • Try clicking the Vimeo icon in the lower right corner of the movie and run it from the Vimeo source page.
  • Make sure you are viewing the SD version, not the HD version.

Q: I missed the preview screenings in Seattle. Are there any other theatrical screenings?
A: We plan to announce more screenings as soon as they are booked. Check back on this site frequently for info about future screenings, or join our mailing list by sending an e-mail to info@sonicsgate.org with the title "MAILING LIST" in the subject line.
Q: How can I get a DVD copy to watch on my TV?
A: For right now, you can’t. We wanted this film to be free for everyone to watch online, so most of our license agreements are for online streaming only at this time. We have plans to make a DVD version available for purchase as soon as we finalize agreements with everyone for this medium. For now, enjoy the free version!
Q: Can I get a copy for educational purposes?
A: Yes. We made this film as an educational piece to preserve the historical record. If you are a teacher who would like to use this film as part of your classroom curriculum, please send a message to info@sonicsgate.org with the title "EDUCATIONAL USE" in the subject line. We will process your request and verify your credentials in order to provide you with a copy for classroom use.
Q: I want to help! How can I contribute?
A: You can help by just spreading the word and getting people to watch the film! If you want to contribute money, click here to access our fundraising page.
Q: Was this movie made by Save Our Sonics?
A: No. While the nonprofit group Save Our Sonics (SOS) is supportive of Sonicsgate, SOS had no direct involvement in the film's production and bears no responsibility for the content, with the exception of individual interviews with SOS co-founders Brian Robinson and Steven Pyeatt. Please continue to support Save Our Sonics in addition to Sonicsgate!
Q: Who did the music for the film?
A: The original score was composed by Lil Kriz & Curtis Seals with additional score contributions by John Low, Steve Stearns and D-Sane. You can listen to the full soundtrack for free here and download the songs you want. Support local Northwest artists!
